The Temptation--
Mother-Eve,
That fruit you ate--
The deep-read fruit--
Father-Adam,
Heart-shaped--
Was it not?

Not really an Apple,
But something more--
A Feeling -- A Wish--
Forever to be --
Forever Knowing --
Together--at last,
And Forever more

To know the Feeling,
The Desire
To feel the Other's Heart
Within your Own
A silent understanding

The little serpent--
That Dark creature--
Devil's Temptation presents
This beautiful Gift
A lifetime together
However, short, it may be

Disobedience--
A Key, a Knife
A little notch--
One small Bite
All it took
For Both to fall

Next time--
A new outcome
Forever to stay
Apart, but still One
Past Knowledge
Future Understanding
Merge as One
A new Republic -- made and begun--

A new beginning
Once again
Heart-wrenching Distress
A sweet Awakening
Deep within
The World anew
Without a Fault
